It was running with a pair of PVC cutters in it's wing. I have told them not too.....But do they listen...NOPE....

It fell on the open PVC cutter and then the cutter closed on his neck....it was terrible..

He fell into a pot of almost boiling water...I got him out in about 20-30 seconds, but the damage was done and all his feathers fell off.. terrible terrible terrible accident...
Oh, that's so sad. Poor guy.

is this the right stuff to use to keep membrane from drying out if I need to use it?

Yup! That's the stuff!! :thumbsup

To clarify, it doesn't actually stop it from drying out completely... what it does is it stops it from constricting too much if it does dry... and the bits after hatch that stick on the duckling peel off like super thin, dry paper...

Air cells are looking much better now and dipped down. . . I hate this last bit of waiting when I can't see anything in there cause the egg is so full. :barnieI will be checking for internal pips in the morning. . I'm off work till Tuesday so this works out great :yesss:
*broody duck eggs I'm talking about not incubator eggs. . just so no-one is confused.
