So happy for you!!!!
Thanks:hugsI'm glad I at least got 2. But wow. . 2 out of 15 is so sad! Why do they have to be so difficult. :(
Other 4 are confirmed not gonna hatch.

They all looked pretty much like this. Egg topsy revealed nothing I could tell was wrong other than just never pipped internally. Membrane was all brown and dried up in there. :idunno
One Cayuga egg is a quitter no veins and all slosh y inside. But still going with the Other three :)
Oh. . and three of the 4 I just egg topsied looked pastel :hit
One looked like a grey.

All had turned toward the air cell except #5. #5 I think was still alive yesterday but today it looked like the other quitters. That one had its head buried way down in the middle of the egg almost at the other end and had a enormous yolk sack. It almost looked like two yolk sacks. It's bill was kind of buried in the yolk. . Does that mean anything? It almost looked like it tried to pip into its own yolk sack and ruptured it. Is that possible?

Hatching Calls is difficult all around... the smaller and more to type they are, the lower the hatch rate... :hugs

Cuteness' first season laying, I hatched 3 from 30-40 eggs...

Wow I knew they were hard to hatch but that's some tough numbers. Knowing that, you getting those 2 beautiful babies makes them extra wonderful.

I'm getting more nervous about mine. They are so shaken! They are @ day 11 now. I was reading pyxis' hatching article about laying them on their sides but slightly angled. Should I shut the turner off and angle them? I could turn them but not as often as the bator.

Sorry for the derail.
