Hard to imagine these fuglys getting that stately. I can't even tell what's what in that brooder. I intended to sell a few but now I can't tell them apart, beyond the frizzled ones of course.

How does it work with them not being an accepted breed? Do you just give the proposed standard to the judges?

I am on the Creamlegbar Club board, we had a qualifying show last fall in Minnesota, we had 25 birds from 6 breeders. We had another one in Ok. With those we submitted our application to be admitted as a breed. We should have our final show this fall. Which requires 50 birds and 10 breeders and the APA picks the show location not us.

And to your original question. I gave all the judges the proposed SOP's before hand along with a copy to the show Secretary and our paper work allowing us to show and be "sanctioned". That is then send to the APA.

They may be both. But their cousins with the screwy feathers are ridiculous!

They both have a fault the judge did not see....And I did not inform him of.

Is this a CL? And if so a pullet?

It is a pullet but I do not think she is "pure" CL. the legs are the wrong color. I see no signs of good barring either but she just might be too young.

We may not see them until we see the ear lobes.

You can show them, you just have to list then as "NR" non-recognized on the registration. They will most likely put them in the 'rare and exotic" area and they will be judged against themselves, which means nothing.

I have been showing legbars that way for a few years. I am going to show a toad next fall.

There should be 8 pure breds in the group of 17. Or they are crosses, you never know what you'll get from craigslist I guess. Nice bright chicks though.
