Hey, does anyone ever give their ducks scratch grains? I know it's not good for their primary diet but is it good for them to have some during the winter when there isn't much for them to forage for? Or would just plain crimped corn be better?

I toss mine some every few days. Just whenever I give the chickens some, they always want some too. Probably 3-4 times a week.

Oh good to know. I've been looking to try and figure out exactly what all is in "scratch grains" and not coming up with much. Hubby is looking at some now to try and identify what all it is lol.

Some scratch grains are better than others. The one I buy doesn’t even have corn in it so I mix a bag of whole corn in with the 6 way .
