When I checked the bottles Sulmet was different it did not have a main ingredient of Sulfadimethoxine, it was just Sulfathizene (something like that). I think thaty they may both be sulfa based, but otherwise completely different. Maybe they are used in a similar manner, but since the chemical names were different I didn't get it.
I checked the price of the office visit with the vet and it's $50. I can do that
(I don't have too much of a choice), and hopefully we'll get to the root of the problem.
I still may order some Sulfadimethoxine online to keep on hand if something like this comes up again. But I'm going to wait on that for now and see what the vet says (I'm betting that all of you have given me the best advice I'm going to get and the vet is going to come up with a "Duh?" and go for a broad spectrum antibiotic and hope it works.
I considered the possibility of a toxin and I did give her a little molasses, but I'll confess I'm a little nervous about flushing her digestive system because I don't know if I can get it in line again. My girls absolutely HATE yogurt, no matter how I try to give it to them. So, that's kind of a problem.
Keep the suggestions coming, please, I'm open to anything at this point that is within my power.
Thanks
