Stock up on the DE, you won't want an infestation of mites or any other coodies!!

I'm so glad that she realized she needs help!!!

Like a number of others here, I wish I lived closer..

Though I think my husband would KILL me. *grin* Good luck!!!

Deb, my rooster Hawkeye had the same situation. He was fed only corn till 10 months old. I put him on Rooster Booster pelleted feed and some crumbles mixed together and fed him yogurt, put ACV and a garlic clove in his waterer. He recovered very well. In fact for a long time, he refused to eat whole corn at all-probably sick of it, LOL.

I remember the post, and thought that the lady was in a bind, and she needed some help. My wife says The Lord works in mysterious ways............ and go figer.

Good luck and keep us posted

Carol.....I live in SE Indiana, Jennings county.
She hasnt brought the chickens as of yet...I know there will be one Silkie Roo....white, he is in the worst conditions. He lives in a wire cage...Prolly 12 inches wide, and 12 inches tall...MAYBE 2 feet long. There is a metal floor in this cage ( i think, there is soo much poo, I cant tell!) Moldy corn, black water dish....poor guy!! This Roo will definately need a home...once I get him healthy.
Cynthia.....thanks for the feed info....I will definately go looking for "rooster booster" Is this something the hens can eat as well? I will be giving them layer crumbles...oyster shell....and DE in the feed. They will also ALL be checked for lice/mites, and dusted! I am hopeing to get them soon, I want them OUT of there! As soon as I get them, I will post pics...these babies will need homes soon after I get them healthy. Thanks everyone!!

Hobbychickener....when I saw her "pens" There were several silkies....and others I cant remember the names. I will let you all know, when I get them and post pics. Thanks for the interest.....just remember, I have to get them healthy, before I can find them homes.
