I just keep getting the cockerel vibe. More opinions please! 14-16 weeks or so, not really sure to tell the truth. Comb and wattles just grew and changed from yellowish this week.

Ohh crap!:hitIve named it Chief Cochin. It stands upright and Ive had a bad feeling about it since day 1. Ive posted it here 2 other times and everyone kept saying pullet, but my cockerel radar wouldn't stop going off! Ive never had cochins before so I was hoping.

Now I'm wondering if its cochin or langshan. It doesn't hold its tail like a cochin and the feathering on legs and feet seems kind of thin for a cochin.

Mabey were did you get it again?
I got it from a local hatchery, a small place that has good birds usually. My last flock I got from them was perfect. This one, first night 1 died and then 1 started pooping blood so I had to treat for cocci. I got these ones as started pullets anywhere between 8-12 weeks old. So they should be 14-18 weeks old now. Last flock I got as day olds.
I wonder if its Langshan, any chance it could still be a she? Langshan pullets/hens look boyish to me, with their upright stance, longer shimmering tail feathers.

I don't get any cochin feel from that bird.
I get more of a Marans vibe, but I don't know langshans, so I can't comment on that possibility.
Ive had Marans before, I don't get that vibe from it tho. But I'm far from an expert. I have another mystery pullet, that I cant figure if its Lav Orp or EE. I'm waiting for her to lay, then I should know. I never thought I would have trouble figuring sex out on a bird this old! Except for Buff Orps and Silkies, I can usually tell well before now. This bird doesn't try to crow yet either.

Got a pic of the questionable Lav Orp/EE? I have lav orps, so I might be able to help with that one.
