She just wants to hatch some eggs

Blocked the nest box, she camped out next to it. I put her on the root with the other gals about 5 this times then she decided to push Chicky off and then she seddeled in. Keeping my fingers crossed and I don’t have to set up a broody cadge

She is a Wyandotte cross, if she hatched eggs won’t she just go broody again after they are bigger?

Yes, there's no way to stop her going broody forever. Anything you do is a temporary measure which will only last a certain amount of time. The length of time will vary depending on what you do

Some hens I've had will hatch and multiple lots of chicks over spring/summer. Some will raise one lot of chicks and still be trying to snuggle them under her when they're almost bigger than she is! (No eggs from her for a while). Some will raise one lot of chicks and that's her done for the year, won't go broody until next season

Depends on breed and the individual hen. We've never had Wyandotte's so I can't comment on them, but we do have Orpington's and most of them go broody pretty frequently. Some specific girls more than others. Broody crate usually works for all but the most stubborn girls
