3-4 week old EE chick was walking around last night kept sticking its head up/extending its neck, openingits mouth, folding its tongue over, and "wheezing " on the exhale. wasnt really eating alot but was drinking, i thought respiratory so i hit with duramycin-10, but she was gone this morning, so now im thinking she ate something she shouldnt have and it got stuck somehwere. which does it sound like to you?

You'll probably never know unless you have a necropsy done. The symptoms you describe are similar to gapeworm, however. Might try a search on that her on BYC to see how closely the symptoms matched your hen's behavior.

it sounds to me like she got something stuck that damaged her.

of course, it's hard to say for sure.
