She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

@RubyNala97 there are a few that I have looked at. I tried posting screen shots but having problems posting pictures. So the one on ebay is a Universalwant that holds 48 eggs and theres one at Family Farm & Home is by Farm Innovators that hold up to 4 dozen. I am thinking the one at FFH because I can get it today. Or there is a Little Giant Still Air that holds 59 large eggs.
Nooooooooooooooo!!!! No LG!!! Not the 9300!!!!!. A good cast iron skillet would be much cheaper.
Seriously, that incubator is horrible. It has been beaten to death on this thread. What is your budget? Don't buy the one that you can get today just because it is convenient. You will regret it in the long run. If you do a trial of Amazon Prime for free, you can get virtually any incubator in 2 days. Buy the best you can afford, it's worth it. For styro, I highly recommend Hovabator

Well Im a first timer here…Set my 24 eggs in a Janoel 24 on Friday night, 7/31( it was actually 1:30am on Aug 1)…Temperature has been rather easy to regulate and keep steady after the first day, however the humidity fluctuates a lot - lowest at 22% and highest at about 55%. The exact amount of water I am putting is half the squirt bottle in one of the channels of the bottom tray.

Any suggestions as to how to better achieve a more consistent humidity?

Have 12 Buff Orpingtons eggs and 12 high noon leiper eggs in there…Hoping for the best…...
Hi!! Welcome to the thread! Here's my opinion on the humidity. Take the water out of the bator and grab a new sponge, wet it and stick it in there. If it holds 30-40% let it be until it gets down around 25-30% and then re-wet the sponge. Check air cells at days 7 & 14 to see if humidity needs adjusting. (I'd check and mark air cells at day 18 as well.)

You smacked me! You're a Bad Boy!

Now I don't know what "BLUE" IS! I thought blue was to follow Brinsea recommendations, no deviations, set them + forget them. I am an analyst - I wish I continued with the extra - weighing at day 7(FOR THE FIRST TIME). But that is ok. What worked in Montgomery NY( 40 min. from the "City" or NY City"(forgive me I was born in Brooklyn) may have to be tweaked for the mountain in Scandia PA. They don't even know what a heat wave is here. Relative humidity I think I got it. Well, I think I understand it, now to adjust to make it work here. I'm done tonight. I will weigh them tomorrow.
Would it surprise anyone to know that SC and I don't even agree on what constitutes blue??? lol My def of blue is anyone who sets their eggs and doesn't do anything more than the 7/14/18 day candle and hands a hands off philosophy after lockdown. SC doesn't accept the day 7/14 candle.....lol

If there is run the other way.....lol It would just mean more potentially ruined eggs...lol

As far as I know the LG only has the one size. I've never seen any others.

Hey, hey hey... HEY!!!
It may be a minor point, but I can't let this one go. AmyPaperlady had this exact quote, along with a picture that almost made me have a flashback months ago. When you hear me call her "Alice", that is why. It's an inside joke to the ones that get it. My entire opinion of Amypaperlady, everything that she is in my head, even her worth as a person :old , is entirely based upon her timely posting of that picture. If I have to reassign that quote to the self appointed sheriff, then I may actually lose my mind.
Silkie, this is for adding cuteness to the subliminality of Alice in Wonderland that is way darker than you have any comprehension of
Ravyn, this is for not paying attention when you read the thread (Can't wait to see chicapee's hatch though )
Friday, this is for....
Maybe not. You scare me
 *confused* I thunk the sheriff was dropped quite a while back :idunno

SC? Scared? Oooh

I addressed this a few posts back. I think this is the one thing we agree on. I don't consider dry incubation blue or red. It's just another humidity option

I'm sort of regretting this whole peachick experience. I didn't realize what "imprint" really entails. These chicks are getting BIG. I've been putting them in a cage outside of the chicken run for a week. Trying to let them interact with other birds. Well yesterday I put them in the actual run. They stayed at my feet, starring up at me, crying. I told them go make friends & threw a bunch of worms on the ground. No luck. Then they were all riled up when I brought them inside for bed. Pacing the cage in a panic. I opened the door to the cage and sat on the couch to see what they wanted. All 3 of them flew out of the cage. One landed on each shoulder and the last one flew right on top of my head! I felt like Ace Ventura! They definitely have identity issues. And they make me feel a nut case! Feeling guilty about getting rid of them but don't know how much longer I can deal with this insanity.
Awe... Good luck.

Which one is the "death trap"? I would like to keep the price tag under $100. A broody duck would probably work better but I dont have one :(
