they came with dates that's good mine never have I just wait 24 hrs most people say 12 to 24 So I go long that's just me no rights or wrongs here so if I say something really stupid I'm not wrong. I like that but I'm not right either no wonder I'm confused all the time play time is over things to do the rain has stopped .

Don't work to hard! Yes, each egg had the date it was laid and the color of Roo & hen written on it! I've never had that before either. I was happy about that. I'll see how they look tonight when I candle. But they are resting now. :)

50% blue, 50% splash, I believe...

Oh, ok, that makes sense then. That's why she sent double those eggs because they have a 50/50 shot to get either. You guys are so smart!! Thanks!!

Ok so I bought a digital thermometer&humidity gauge. Digital is reading 101.3* & 30% RA, the thermometer I calibrated with my candy thermometer is reading 100.5*, the lid is reading 96* & 39% humidity. I dont have any water in there yet. Should I add a little water and see if the temp holds for an hour or two before adding the eggs?

What humidity % are you wanting to try? I would run dry for the first 7 days, if you're humidity is between 30-40%. And then on day 7 check your air cells to see if they are good or if you need to increase/decrease.

this is my first time ever incubating so not 100% sure. They are duck eggs so I figured it was 55-60%. The eggs are in the nesting box & the weather channel says RA humidity is 43%.

The humidity in the incubator will be different due to the higher heat and confined space, but like Ruby said, try it dry first and see what you have, then adjust from there if needed
