She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

That is a beautiful roo! I wish I had started with bearded silkies. The little ones always get you in trouble
Same here.

Are you only talking about chickens?

Thanks for your gender guesses. 1/4 isn't too bad! They're all little dolls. One of the white ones is a bit more skittish, and I've seen a dark and light one "fighting". Is that a rooster sign?

And I'm betting he can back it up!

If determination counts, yep!

That is a beautiful roo! I wish I had started with bearded silkies. Vader is very appropriate. His crest and hackles look just like the helmet :gig

Thanks, I'm actually removing him from breeding... leakage... and I want more Paints...

Pullets will do that too...

If they are chest bumping and dropping and raising their heads together it could be. Silkies are really, really hard. Some of the males will have smaller combs and wattles, and I will think they are pullets until they start crowing. I guarantee pullets when I sell them, and I will deliver them to whoever bought them if they turn into roosters. 2 forty mile exchanges last year taught me to sell them straight run until I am absolutely certain

Look how good the baby is doing! His eyes are open and he's starting to walk around. I don't think his legs are splayed. Maybe a tiny bit but I think they just need to get a little stronger. I think he hatched last and just couldn't keep up out of the nest and got left behind and cold.

(I hate trying to take pictures with the red heat lamp! They never come out right.)
Awe. So sweet. You're doing a great job!

Dang, it'so slow this morning that I actually clicked the link in your signature

Hurts not being able to argue, though

Credit cards aren't all bad. Its all in how you use them! If you never have one, then try to buy a house or something big, that you have to get a loan for, you have no credit, so its hard to show that you are responsible. A single credit card can be a good tool to establish responsibility.
X2. In this day and age, especially when the market is unstable, it's good to have credit. If you have one credit card and use it for a small amount each month and then just pay the full amount off, you can get good credit, fairly quickly.
I am SO happy! Someone wants turkeys so I get to turn the incubator back on for another month!
Yay! I was going to ask if you'd have the camera up, but I already saw the answer. :(
Dom with babies:
Too cute!
Oh boy, all of my roosters are really finding their voices this morning! Still no louder than the neighbors' barking dogs, but I hope nobody complains!
Yesterday morning I let my cockerel out and he started crowing right away. I know my neighbor to the south has chickens and I can faintly hear his roosters. But I heard loud crowing coming from my neighbors to the north. I never knew they had chickens! So my cockerel and their rooster were going back and forth for a good while. I think my guy is just getting loud enough that theirs will entertain him. Now I want to meet them! Should I just go say hi? I'm not in a rural area, but live on a road that was once farm land decades ago. I'm so surprised so many of us have chickens!
