She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

What kind of vents did you end up going with? I've seen coop with Ac's!!!

Just some Duraflo roof vents, I put in two because I need the light as well as the ventilation.

So I tested keeping the shed door shut tonight, and all of the chickens but one went in - but half of them were roosting on the floor. For some reason, they do not like to go in to the darker coop. I have a window I'll put in tomorrow too, and see if that helps. If all else fails, I'll put in a small night light for while we are gone, since I really need them to be inside the coop and not locked out by the new automatic door!

I will look that up. Brinsea should cut me a deal...my whole birthday/Christmas list starts with "Brinsea"...

That is crazy!! What are they going to do?? I walked out of the house last night and I had just fed the cat out the back door (he's always trying to sneak in) so I kicked him a little with my foot to keep him out and it was not the cat. The cutest, fluffiest, young skunk looked up at me! Thank goodness he did not spray me!!

Now THAT'S a story!

Oh right, it's Friday. Well, g'night. Everybody better be up and sober tomorrow, Walnut, keep them in check.

Silkie, tonight I am off duty.

I've had 7 hours of sleep in the past three days, drove 500 miles, drove through a thunderstorm dropping quarter sized hail on my Charger, cut up and bagged 21 chickens, and only had a quarter of the alcohol needed to keep me awake. So....goodnight!

@RubyNala97 , Regarding your post of kicking the skunk

Honey, I think it's time for an eye exam.

Seen a commercial awhile back......The lady is calling her cat in...."Here Kitty-Kitty". In came a raccoon. She said "Good Kitty!"
The commercial is for eye glasses and says "Missing Something?"

Yes, I have a red night light in the coop at night to entice them to learn to go in. There is no windows (only side-ways vents) in my coop. That's the one draw back. Also, they won't roost either!! Just sleep in piles on the floor, according to hatch. They better learn by winter!

Haha! It wasn't my vision really. More of a habit to keep the cat from sneaking in the house!
