She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

So I lost another egg! I am ******! This leaves me with only 8 eggs to hatch if they hatch at lockdown. I lost 7 eggs. Its not from the incubator, because I have been doing everything right and my temp/hydro gauge is working and it lets me know what my highs and lows were. I check it 3+ times a day. It just has to be the eggs. No other options. I am aggravated.

I found this thread a few days ago, lots of great info and

. Iike @AmyLynn2374, I'm a bit of a ''masked meddler'' myself

. Every time a chick appears to be having trouble, my little giant still air incubator is sure to open. My latest hatches have been really bad (less than 50%) I suspect the problem is humidity related, since most of the eggs developed, but many of them died some time in the third week. Humidity was really high through out the incubation period (80-90%). Any thoughts on reducing humidity?. (I know, it's probably been discussed all ready, but I'm too lazy to read through all 160+ posts

). A friend of mine suggested using dry rice to reduce humidity, which I thought was interesting.

Like I said, I've been really enjoying this thread.

It is quite the silly thread, but a great resource In between smacks. LOL

SC, do you ever put in a divider to separate eggs in the Brinsea? I have 4 Ameraucana eggs, two from each side of the country and I'd like to band them so I don't get the chicks mixed up (Assuming any hatch)

Ok, the froo froo guys are here, so now is the perfect time to start the next chapter of the polar opposites thread. While Amy candles and marks cells, the rooster is in the cage and I am currently heating the water to process my first chicken ever. I know several of you guys have been doing this for years, but after 7 years of keeping chickens this will be a first for me. I won't post pics, but I will give a follow up post later.
If the froo froo candy stripers get outta control, feel free to give them a

from me. I kinda like that Dan guy, though. ChickenShan seem like a trouble maker.

Welcome to the thread. Yeah, that's killer humidity right there. It's that high dry???? I've heard dry rice, but I've heard that unpopped popcorn works better or those silica packets that you find in the pockets of new clothes...lol I've never had to decrease my humidity so I don't know through experience.
