She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Impressive garden, and ? what's the blue rig?  Too small in the pic to see it.  The best I'll be able to do is start a few greens under a winter cold frame.  Will be able to harvest to mid/late November, and then again late Feb/early March.
My flock was visited yesterday by a flock of young turkeys.
What did you do about them? I'd be worried to have wild birds near my chickens. Esp with AI :idunno

Really? Wow, we have good taste!

It's green and yellow. Gator RSX 850. :D

But MSG makes eerything taste better!!!!! lol I use a lot of food coloring!!!

Yes, lots of bad stuff about red dye#40. Didn't they link that to cancer long ago?
A lot of low sodium options contain msg. I don't know much about dyes and such. We don't eat a lot of them just b/c we don't like the things they come in. Not sure why I react to msg the way I do. I found this article interesting:
https://sisterearthorganics.wordpress.com/2011/03/13/is-msg-b-a-d/

It covers a lot of the history and some science behind it.

Looks great

x2! Forgot to mention that. It really does look nice. Now I know how you find the time to be on BYC so much: you have a tractor!

Yep! Yellow coloring goes straight to your brain

Food coloring is a large cancer causer. You ever wonder why kids are so spastic and attention lacking?? Red #40, MSG, high fructose corn syrup, aspartame...the list goes on

But are there any peer reviewed studies on this? I don't doubt it, but I'd like to see them if they are there.

Its the silver sebrights that don't look good. I didn't necessarily want them anyway lol She just kinda threw those 4 in. The japs and silver duckwings will be fine either way they turn out, but the golden sebrights are my primary goal, and they look fabulous!
Your flock is going to be SO pretty!

I think he's inspired me to plant a winter garden for the chooks as soon as I can get up and going again! Think I'll skip the tiller and go for the lasagna method this time.

Just did a quick candle on top of all 32 eggs in my bator, and I have excellent development in at least 26!! Possible 6 clears, but too early to be sure. Bad news is 3 of those possible clears are out of the 4 silver sebrights. One is definitely developing. She actually wasn't sure on their fertility anyway, so I knew it was possible. All 6 japs looks great!

That's awesome! Can't wait to follow your updates along the way. How are you liking the machine, so far?

Nice!!

Thanks! Other than it tipping alot further than I expected, its awesome! Has maintained 32-34% humidity the whole week without any water, so I'm pleased. Temp stability is the bomb!!

A lot of other threads will fuss if you ask a question that has already been asked, or could be searched. We aren't like that. If you have a specific question, it's much easier to just ask the question than it is to try and search a thread, then search that thread for the answer. There's no way anyone will read the whole thread (well, except sjturner :gig , that's got OCD written all over it:lau ), so if anyone is lurking and has a question, just jump right in

Sure, you say this after I've spent a week reading and I'm 5500 posts in...

That's ok, I've learned a lot reading and will keep reading.
