After seeing those 2 coons invade my duck pen, I dont walk outside unarmed! .22, 380, 9mm, even my CO2 BB pistol is better than nothing. I grab whatever is laying close by.

6 pints of seedless blackberry jam. I learned that an electric juicer is awesome for deseeding--just feed the seeds and pulp back through a few times.

I think that pic is the cleanest part of my kitchen right now :lol

Then I'm going to use my pressure canner for the first time--the green beans are starting to mount up.

I have the food mill attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer food grinder. I run raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries through and take out almost all the seeds, then make jam or jelly after crushing in a few whole berries for texture.

I am using my husband's grandfather's 1944 National #7 pressure canner. I've put up cases of chicken broth, green beans, kidney beans in chili sauce and other good stuff. I have more food canned than I could eat in a year!

For $5 each I wasn't going to argue or attempt educating. They still have their chipmunk stripes on their backs, willow legs and barring on the wing feathers.Pea comb, so I guess there is hope for greenish eggs.

Amy, I think the temp is pretty accurate but I'm worried just incase it is off a degree or so. I have 2 thermometers, 1 digital and 1 analog and they are both reading right at 101. On a positive note, all my eggs were in good shape. On the outside. I made a feeble attempt at candling them but being that they are speckled and all I have is an LED flash light with my hand cupped around it I couldn't see the air cells. It doesn't help that my eyesight is terrible, I'm legally blind, but my husband and daughter looked at them with me and they said they couldn't see anything either. I hope they're ok.

Are you candling down into the egg from the air cell end? If you are candling from the bottom up, you won't see the air cells, but if you hold the flashlight on top of the egg where the air cell shuold be and candle down into the egg, you should see air cell-but new eggs it should be quite small. I use a small LED flashlight as well and cup my hand around it and the egg.
