I've had a couple eggs like that. Hatched perfectly fine. I always concluded it was weaker area in the shell maybe calcium deficiencey or something along those lines. An internal thing.

That is where there was an 'interruption' in the creation of the shell and it was repaired before laying... not cracks, but those rarely hatch... sometimes, but rare...

Same concept... Ruby's is where the egg advanced a bit too quickly in that spot, yours stuttered... ever seen the twisty's??

Same here, but only on the larger ones. And sometimes with brand new, young layers, I'll get eggs the size of marbles.
