She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

When I get better stock, there is no doubt I am paying for live chicks. Your breeder isn't too far from me, so I'm looking forward to watching yours grow
That would be a short hop for the chicks for sure. I hope we are still on for an egg swap?

One more thing you might try is to request they put no fragile stickers or egg stickers on the box. My best shipped hatches came from a plain brown box. I have not done it a lot, but I have read a great blog post from a breeder that only adds them if the buyer requests it.

Yes, you have mentioned this before. And my first box of eggs had nothing on them. They came in great shape! The only reason that I did not request that this time is because I paid for express shipping and was hoping if the box said "live embryos" it would get put in a pressurized part of the plane. I think I said that right, is that the part of the plane for animals/people?
Thats a very valid point, and I agree, but I have reasons. First, until this year my chickens have always been pets. I allowed myself to get attached to Tate. Until I have extra AMs to give him for an olive egger pen, his girls stay.
Second, even breeding faulty birds is teaching me a lot about breeding. If I can improve these birds, I will be ahead of the game when I get better stock.
Lastly, Mrs. Flock would :smack the crap out of me if I buy any more birds this year :gig

I understand. I, too, am very attached to my rooster. He stays, no matter what! Lol I'm hoping to really narrow down what I have next year and keep researching how to breed. It all is a lot to learn!

The whole plane is pressurized, makes no difference in where box is put... it is harder to have some areas pressurized and others not in a single plane body... Oz flies eggs internationally on a regular basis, he even stated that the flight itself doesn't seem to be a very big factor in viability... j/s...

Also, I never do Express unless time is a factor... I've seen way more rough handling with Express packages than Priority ones...

Thank you... was just joking... it just got real quiet all of a sudden after my last post...
