I actually listed Gemma for sale, but no takers yet. I have been unable to find a mate or pair to put with her, so I thought I'd just sell her. Not sure if we can process her or not. Thanksgiving is getting closer though.

She is getting cantankerous! Pecking at all the lavenders! I'm waiting for a roo to stand up to her.
Not sure if I told this here or where, but she will not go in at night. She roosts on top of the coop, so I have to wait till after dark to go grab her and put her in.
A couple nights ago, I didn't talk to her before grabbing her and I missed grabbing a wing and she flapped me in the cheek so hard, I just knew it was going to look like I had been in a fight! Its tender, but didn't bruise, thank goodness.

Aside from the fact i am a Really small female, the turkeys are vastly different and i Wont so it. Nope. OH is gna have to figure a humane method that works for him.

I saw some BR and some Narragansett turkey eggs on eBay yesterday. I've never really been into turkeys. I'd love to get some Peacocks 1 day though. And some Cayuga ducks, they are absolutely gorgeous!!

'Bout what I figured. Never had any experience with turkeys at all.

I have seen pics of two dead small turkeys that someone local lost in a rain storm. I think it depends on the kind of turkey. I have heard they grow out of it, but can drown in the rain when young.

Turkey babies are soooo pretty... Do your research on Peas first... they can be obnoxiously LOUD and attached to humans...
I'd like to have some Cayugas too, but I think I'm going with Calls.
