I tried. The tape was my favorite, anyway![]()
I saw you posted there but you spelled your name wrong............![]()
And?..... Did I miss the rest of the story? Did you use the weed trimmer on it?Saw something several years ago that I'd never have believed had I not witnessed it:
I used to own a mowing service. I'd finished the mowing at this customer's place, & was working my way around the yard fence with the string trimmer when I came upon a piece of plywood leaning against it. I moved it, and behind it sat momma duck on a nest of eggs. Less than a foot from her lay a rat snake about 5'-6' long, working on getting a 2nd duck egg down, the bulge in the middle indicating that it had already gotten one of the other eggs. Strangest thing of all was seeing momma sit right there, doing nothing.
Thank youThose are the Fine shavings out of the big block we get from TSC for our chick brooders... work great... sawdust packs too hard and Flake shavings leave too much air pockets/space...
I'll see what I can do for instruction pics...
Meant to say, your Nankins are gorgeous too...
OH wants peas badly... we gotta build a special pea house first, lol...
Correct...![]()
K, I'll do that then. I'm just terrified to move the eggs cause everyone has said to move them as little as possible. But taking the lid off won't hurt. I feel like I'm working with live grenades, lol. I hope I make it through this hatch with my sanity still intact. What little sanity I have left anyway.![]()
You girls are about to make me go into a tirade about the difference between coincidence and ironyIsn't it ironic?
Now THAT'S irony... misspelled name... misworded meme...
I did, but all it did was run him off. Next time I mowed, though, I saw it again in the vicinity. I mowed around it til the only place left was where it was, not offering to move. Ultimately, it got p...ed off enough that it struck @ the back tire of the mower, at which point the mower made a bunch of little snakes out of one big one.
I can see now that once I get done with this hatch I will want to set some more immediately, lol. And I know as soon as they start to hatch I'll want to put my little hands in there and help them out of their shells and love on them. I'll have to resist the urgeYou will feel that way the first time, then you will want to rescue every struggling chick once they start pipping. They aren't as delicate as you think. I would take the lid off, move an egg enough to see the well and get the funnel in, then fill one well and go from there
