Not sure what you are asking with "why so bad there?" You mean NY or my town?

That sounds tempting. I have a friend that lived in Tenn and she misses it and wants to go back.
We have sales tax and county taxes (ours is 8%) on store stuff and then property and school taxes if you own a home and depending where/what county you live in, just the taxes alone can make you or break you if you have a decent home. You can't even build a shed w/out having a building permit, heck my nephew bought an already made shed and had it delivered ( a real big one) and he got fined for not having a permit (which I don't understand).

that all should come with a title search. you need to make sure the mineral rights come with your property when you buy if they don't. don't buy it .In Tn.it is on the deed if they have sold the minerals rights to the property .

I also have a mic stand to use when I mark aircells, its alot easier with it to hold egg in one hand and write with other, not bothering with holding flashlight.





What I use after hatching so many marans, I needed a good one!
its a 3000 lums/lumens I researched to find the brightest I could get in the most handy as well as cheap!
I have bought up to 1500 lums and couldnt see into dark blue eggs, now they look like I am candling a duck egg, very quick fast and done. Love it!
Well worth the money spent and the rechargeable batteries rock!

Oh lol... I can handle any type of animal. Reptile or rodent, not scared of any of them, but I can not stand (not scared, just can't stand them...lol) any creepy crawly nasty bug or arachnid. The thought of being crawled on....just ewwwww

That's neat... I use the flashlight app for most of mine... but for difficult ones, my deWalt light in superthick cardboard box is my go-to... makes Marans and full saturated blues a breeze, lol...

lol... I don't mind spiders, snakes, bugs or pretty much anything except... lice, ticks and roaches... those just creep me the flock out!!

TN is awesome... but our taxes are lower since we live out in county property though... in town it might be higher depending... I know my MIL pays more than we do and we have larger property and house, she has a small lot...

don't know about ducks lives in Christina sells all kinds of poultry can't sex chicks worth a darn and his birds are junk . his last name is Green .supplies the Framers coop and on is CG won't buy from the coop again and they know why. it will take me two years to breed him out of my SLW flock . city taxes are a lot higher than county . farm taxes are a lot less if you are in the green belt. Tn. is not a bad place to live. there is a 40 mile projected growth ring around Nashville and I am five miles inside of it . small tracks of land around me are selling for ten thousand an acre which is way to much for the land .

I lost the first ones I bought many years ago. I had them in a bathtub chicks and ducklings. well the ducklings splashed all the water out and they all got wet and cold and died in the night. Terrible Rookie mistake I was beside myself. But I make sure that I cover all bases now. I take up the water when I go to bed then give it back in the morning.

I finally made a bigger waterer for our 26 meaties! and I was surprised, with a dremel it only took me 15 minutes, and I procrastinated over a week to make one! DOH

They are really getting stinky I had to lime and then add more shavings... rain rain rain is driving me insane! I need it to dry out now please!!!

TN is a lot prettier than some places. Land in our neck is going for way too much, too. I'd love to find an couple of acres for 10,000 a piece. Could make a nice profit and get the flock out of here.
