She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

The AH runs around say 80% down here, no getn away from it unless the weather clearsnit out for us. I was scared my humidity was too high, running between 40-60% this whole incubation.

Thank God im very math/logic brained and i did weight calcuations behind my set-- the math average says im on par, and the aircells are growing at what im told is normal rate. SO-- at this time even though my dry incubation is higher himidity than yours, i am lettin her jus do her thing...

don't do ducks but I figured out don't listen to the book that came with my incubators got on here and found out I was right . glad you were able to get a good one at a good price. how much longer on the ducks.

x2! I'm with you on a green Christmas. I like snow a couple times a year, just to see it, but we got our fill (and then some!) last year, so I could do without any snow at all this year!
Even though we both know it ain't gonna happen!!

I believe ducks develop as early as chicks, but the shells are usually a little thicker/tougher, so its harder to see those first signs of blood vessels really early. My duck is laying really waxy eggs! Feels like there is an extra coating on them!
Does it have anything to do with changing seasons or matruing of layer?

What is snow?

This winter you can have ours....gladly. Wouldn't want you t o be left out.

Oh, BTW, I found a website as addictive as Amazon. Vistaprint. I need to get business cards because I'm getting a lot of referral customers now, so I made one up on Vistaprint last night. Once you get your card customized, before you go to checkout they plaster your image on a ton of other stuff that you can buy. T-shirts, hats, yard signs, car signs, calendars, etc...

I've used vista print. They do have a lot of cool personalized crap....lol Makes good presents.

man seems to be the weekend for it .I lost twelve week old ee pullet yesterday . My nice SLW roo is dragging his leg started limping two weeks ago. can't find what's wrong so I'll put him down soon I guess. Sidewing did you find anyone selling sq SLW eggs? I have several young roos out of him but their all related except for three my three nicest hens . I put the best one with those three and sell the rest. don't like the hens they came out of at all and really don't want to breed them at all .
Sorry to hear that.

All the tests I tried with rice did nothing, and I've not read about anyone else having any luck with rice either... until now.

This stuff that showed up on day 14 of my duck incubation, and almost ruined it!

We've had mid to low 50's last couple days and rain rain rain....

Was it Ruby or chicapee that posted about using the Damp-Rid, like the stuff you put in an RV that is sitting? I never heard the results of that. I would be scared to use it myself
I thought it was Ruby. I was wondering how that worked too.

I was born at 7k feet. I say bring on the cold!

No cold!

OK, I've never done this publicly. Sometimes it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. So, I'm asking in advance!

In the spring I look forward to the ship a thon. While I won't have any quality birds to offer, I should have some interesting EE that are not your everyday EE...and some Narragansett and Golden Narragansett turkeys.
I don't have anything of specific breeding, but my flock for the most part have pea, rose or walnut combs, and produce some real purdy eggs. Would love to have some EE, Ams, or turkeys.

Don't ask. Do it, and be strong about it
