She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I explained in the comment Amy quoted...

Stupid thing is always trying to get me to link it directly to our bank account and I won't do that... have it linked to my debit card and that's it... I feel slightly better having the extra buffer of the debit card as well as paypal policy...
As a seller, it's really good... money goes in super fast and is available... but if you want to transfer they money to your bank account, you have to link your account directly...
That's what I was wanting to hear about, the seller's view. I will probably start selling online next year, and I don't want to have to get set up to take credit cards. PayPal seemed like it would be easiest, but if someone doesn't have an account, that would be a problem. I don't really know which direction I'm going to go.

And, I hate to be a buzzkill myself, but I got to thinking last night...Haven't I read somewhere that you have to be NPIP to sell across state lines?

Technically, SC doesn't need to be in the know cause he doesn't want any eggs and already made his clique arrangements..... lol

But in all seriousness I think there are a lot of members and reguglars on our thread that don't use FB. I was surprised to see various people mention not having FB.

Oops

(<---me)... But I think we can talk him out of some of his non-SQ "d'uccle" feather footed eggs too, so even if he doesn't want any of ours, we can still get more of his!

And I didn't use FB for years, just got an account a couple of years ago, mainly to share stuff with my mother and sisters. Now I only look at it when I have a notification!

I think so... from what I've seen here, I think everyone will be good about making sure both sides of transactions are happy...

I agree. Everyone so far wants all involved to be pleased.

Sidewing has sweet BCM and WV has a hat. Easy decision

If I'm not mistaken, I think my original post about giving away a few dozen is what got all of this started, so

Seriously, though, you guys are catching me right at the point where our farm is morphing from a hobby to a semi-business. Didn't your daddies ever tell you that guys wouldn't buy the cow if they could get the milk for free?

I think if anyone needs to pay someone else, that can be worked out amongst those 2 people, right?

I hope so.

I was about to hit "buy"...but now you have me questioning if I really do have a shopping addiction...

But if you are exchanging or "gifting" can you get around that?

Personal opinion: WV graciously offered to put a list together so that there was a record of who is willing to possibly donate what and who would like to participate with an idea of who would like what. I think, that having this list is the organization we need and adds a little fairness and lets people see what's to offer and who they might be able to exchange with. I think making this list public in someway is all that is needed and the members can view the list and make their own contacts and arrangements after that. And that's what I think.

Don't you know you'll need to be nice to others with those so you have access to new bloodlines??? :tongue

I hope so.

Uh huh just like us girls learned there's no reason to buy the whole pig when all you need is a little sausage. :plbb

Once the word "ship a thon" entered into the idea of exchange it became an organized event.

Only mark boxes Fragile, and This End Up...
