She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Sidewing has sweet BCM and WV has a hat. Easy decision

If I'm not mistaken, I think my original post about giving away a few dozen is what got all of this started, so

Seriously, though, you guys are catching me right at the point where our farm is morphing from a hobby to a semi-business. Didn't your daddies ever tell you that guys wouldn't buy the cow if they could get the milk for free?

Well when I am ready to set some eggs, whatever kind you may have to make my egg basket and flock prettier, I'd send a gift of "feed". I don't expect anything for free, nor would I be inclined to send anything out without either a like trade or at least coverage of shipping costs, and wouldn't expect anyone else to do that either. I guess I am not too charitable.

Not trying to ruffle feathers (been waiting forever to say that on this forum!), but that could undermine someone that is willing to trade or donate for fun, but also trying to sell to the greater population of BYC. If I put up an auction in the spring it may not go well if there are a bunch of folks looking at the trade list and just hoping to trade for eggs. I would not have thought about it so much, but this thread is getting pretty popular. I heard it was even on TheFaceBook . :gig

Just a thought. I might be overthinking it.

She means public to only the ones involved in the Shipathon...

The Little Giant Still-Air Incubator Model 9200 is a tried-and-true way to incubate and hatch eggs. I tried, that's true
Durable Styrofoam retains warmth, generated by a gentle(erratic) heating element controlled by a highly undependable, solid-state thermostat. The thermostat can be easily adjusted at small increments to suit varying environments assuming your environments are Antarctica or Death Valley. Built-in moisture channels allow the addition of water to the bottom of the incubator to help maintain humidity, a key factor in egg health. (Not Included, needs replaced from hardware store,)

The water channels aren't included? Mesh screen safely supports eggs during hatch period, keeping your chicks at the optimal elevation to walk into the whirring blades of death. Two 4 in. x 8 in. viewing windows allow for monitoring the hatching process and are great for educational purposes such as teaching children that all chicks aren't cute, fluffy, happy little bundles of joy. Teach them the cruelty of life at a young age. Get 'em ready. Holds 59 large chicken eggs or up to 100 small chicken eggs when used with the Little Giant

Automatic Egg Turner if you stack them tightly on top of one another and duct tape the lid shut. This product is intended for general poultry hobbyists and is not recommended for professional or commercial use or for incubating exotic birds, such as chickens or ducks.

I think this is all turning into more work than anyone envisioned. I was picturing it more like "Hey Ross! Those are sweet legbars! Wanna trade for some Ams?"

Yeah, that works great for you and Ross, who have what each other wants.

The rest of us may need to get a little more creative.
