This was the 1st to hatch, i think hes got a slight touch of wry neck.
They still aren't very fluffy, I don't know how to get the crusty stuff off and I didn't know if it's ok to get them wet so I'm letting it wear off.

Well 2 was the final number. I went into the last 2 eggs hoping to save them but I was too late. 1 was malpositioned, he was upside down, a healthy sized chick, fully formed, just upside down. The other 1 I'm not sure what happened. He looked fine to me but I think he didn't have his head under his wing, he had it on the outside of his wing. The others I didn't bother to look at, I didn't want to see. So depressed, I could've saved those 2 if I had gone in just a little earlierBut atleast I have 2 little 1's running around peeping their heads off. Actually they're sleeping right now and I think I'm about to do the same, I'll post some pics of the chicks tomorrow, see y'all then. Good night everybody

I'll just make sure I do everything by the book the next time I get shipped eggs. I'm seriously worried about the Icelandic eggs I'm getting this weekend now. I hope the same thing doesn't happen again. I'm picking them up myself so I'm really hoping the problem this time was because they were shipped. I'm also putting a fan kit in my bator so it'll be forced air for the next batch and I'm hoping that'll make a difference too.

Lol, that's true. I saw a recipe online that's supposed to help fix wry neck, I'm thinking about trying it. It's basically electrolytes, infant vitamin drops, Vitamin E and selenium. There was a video posted about it and supposedly this chick had wry neck and they gave him this mixture and 2 hours later he was normal so I'm thinking of trying it. I figure it can't hurt.

I can't believe he managed to internally pip! Thank goodness!!! This means if I had too, I could probably save him, now that he's internally pipped! I had to add water, so I peeked in and I was looking at a shadow that was moving a lot and I tapped on the egg and it started peeping like crazy!!! So I'll just let him be now and hope for an external pip by tonight! I've never heard an egg peep before!

I'm expecting a big time swing in hatches since my temps were so wild for a while. I think my next hatch will be the best ever with the new fan and TSC thermostat. That thing is amazing. Set it and forget it.
Sold two roosters last night and 8 dozen eating eggs this week so far. Me and the boys are having a great time with this.
