That's terrible. I'm sorry it's not working out like you hoped. I first started with shipped eggs. Now I just do shipped eggs....no one close enough to me has any breeds that I am interested in. Lol!!!
That's not a bad idea.
I saw your post on the other thread. Lol!!!! I too am getting g some eggs from Ms. Ravyn. Lol. I owe her.....some good eggs!!!! Hopefully here soon I will know if this ogye is a pullet or roo and I can order accordingly. Lol.
Don't be worrying about any eggs yet!! Let's get you a decent batch of pullets for your boy first, lol...

congrats! Enjoy it!
Keep me posted when you do and I will pass your username along.
I have 2 very nice partridge chicks right now. Let me know if your interested and I could send them come spring. They are beautiful stock, but I'm not planning on breeding partridge.
Very lucky indeed. I could hit my neighbors house with a stone. A very light stone.
X2!
Will do... and you would be first to know once I start getting decent amount of their eggs, anyways... I think until Spring I can only send mixed batches of anything anyways... and can't sell until fertility is confirmed back up...
Oh, was talking about FB on the other thread... my OH had a run in with one of those Listerine fanatics on the FB BYC... I think she now regrets posting where he could see it...

I am not sure. It has gotten cold so not super high
At this point I wonder if it has something to do with the source of your flock... waterfowl are notorious for being carriers of nasty stuff that doesn't affect them in any visual way... just a thought... :/
x2!! Its another of Murphy's Laws

I am too. The air cells looked pretty good, a couple were a little wobbly. They were packed well, not as well as yours though. I had them sit for 12 hours and will not start turning for 4 days, the same as I did with yours. I have not added any water. I will check the air cells when I candle at day 7. I will do my best and give her feed back.
Good for you... air cells sounded ok for the others, just the amount of clears and early quitters is disturbing... I really want to see what hatches from those...
And remember, you just let me know if you ever want more, of anything...

We have a fence to prevent our dogs going into this section, otherwise they would chase them too. I like to keep them in one section to make it easier on me for poop patrol. They only go the other side when chickens are in their pens and when we are supervising them otherwise they would be running the neighborhood. Unlike some around here we try to be responsible dog owners. Those beagles ran into my back garden while I had the girls out. So I had my little chat with the neighbor, who was very apologetic, and said he would try and keep the beagles quiet. I pulled the heart surgery card and told him that the noise was very stressful which it is. I will give them a week to quiet the dogs down before I call the law. I have 2 german shepherds and you wouldn't know they were here unless you drive a ups truck or deliver mail. Ha.
Mine loves the USPS people... but has a weird vendetta towards UPS drivers...

I don't understand the difference...
