She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I'm not who you directed this question to, but, they could have been weaned from all heat about 6 weeks ago.
I was afraid after I'd posted that it might be misunderstood. There are 3 chicks involved, & they're a month old today. They were in the brooder in the basement til 2 weeks ago, then we couldn't stand it any more

Thought maybe he got lucky & nobody knew what they were worth, or there was no reserve on them.

Hey, while you're in here, I've got a question for you:
I've got 3, ONE month-old chicks outside in a coop I built from pallets with a heat lamp I turn on at night when it's cold. The lamp's hanging up high against the roof trusses, so no danger of it starting any fires. How old you figure they'll need to be b4 I can eliminate the heat lamp?
Here, let me fix that for you.....lmao

Too cute! Lol
I swear they look like girls, but that does look very boyish behavior. But get this, Armand has been trying to mate one of my silkie girls, and I saw one submit to him and the other girl ran over and knocked him off her! I assume she was jealous! Lol

I'm so sorry.
Nah, ours isn't until Dec 7th. We had a 3-day doe season that ended today though, but I bow hunted for a couple of hours this eve. Bought a new big ole tripod stand today! Sweet!

Congrats on your meat in the freezer!! 2 this early is excellent! We cooked some a couple nights ago. Yum!!
I built an 8'x10' box blind three seasons ago & set it at the edge of the yard, where our woods begins. It's close enough to the house that I can run heavy extension cord out to it to power the elecric heate, battery charger for the trail cams, & my other lap top. I looked up the DNR regs before I built it, and couldn't find anywhere where it said you have to be cold & miserable while you're deer hunting

I've also got a ladder stand set up on some property I've got access to a few miles up the road...only about 6k acres.

Oh. Are they doing well without heat during the day? Are they fully feathered? If they are fully feathered, perhaps you could give them a fake broody hen to snuggle under. Kassaundra made one by using a plastic 5 gal bucket, and turning it into a nest box type of affair. She then drilled holes across the top, about an inch or two apart, and put strips of fleece through the holes, knotted at the top so they wouldn't fall all the way through. The fleece hung down into the bucket, and the chicks cuddled under the fleece strips, kind of like under a broody's feathers.

Do you have an power converter? They sell a version that plugs into a power port on a car(we used to call them cigarette lighters....) and will convert to 110 form 12V.

You will have to run the car but it will power an incubator.

I have my geneses 1588 set up to run off of a car battery. They sell an adapter for them.
