She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Congratulations! I prefer duck eggs to chicken eggs. I wish others would agree as I have 5 dozen on the table

Besides the obvious size difference personally I think they are slightly sweeter and fluffier when you make scrambled eggs. Made some amazing quiches with duck eggs.
Congratulations on the pip!
I like to put a splash of milk in the bowl with the raw chicken egg, stir it good, then put it in the nuker for about 1:30. The milk seems to enhance the fluffiness & keeps cooked egg from sticking so bad on the bowl. Wife thinks I'm nuts but it works for me & don't mess up a skillet.

We always add milk. In quiches I use heavy cream & sour cream :) but shhh dont tell anyone

Non chicken eater's always good. How old's he supposed to be?
He's 8. He has an oudated microchip, so apparently they were able to determine what his mix name and age were. He doesn't come to his name though. I am wondering if whoever originally chipped him got rid of him and the next person renamed him before either dropping him off or him running away.

I sold my first two pullets today!! $20 each! A dad and his 3 pre-teen daughters were going gaga for the silkies. Very nice family. His daughters were in love with the two little pullets. I was sad when I was packing them up and then felt better after I saw how nice the family was. Then I bought 2 silkie hens today!! One is 12 months and the other is 18 months old. Both are laying but the previous owners don't think they are fertile. So hopefully one of my cockerels will figure out how to do the deed soon and I will have fertile eggs! They are in quarantine now but PO said they were house pets and lived In the guest bedroom and have not touched soil. Can that be for real?? Do you think they still need a full month quarantine? Here's a pic:
That's great!

That's awesome! What's his name?
Chester. He doesn't answer to it, he doesn't look like a Chester either. He looks more like a Buster or Jasper. I tried calling him Thor, but he didn't seem to care for that name either.

Amy, congrats on your dog. I so want one, but don't want to deal with the expense or the care involved. I know... I'm fickle.
I really wanted a pug or Boston or mix thereof, but I really wanted to do a rescue from the shelter too and none of the shelters or pounds have any of them, so it's Chester. He's been in the shelter for almost a month. There was a female shnauzer/poodle I really was interested in but she barked and barked.....lol I don't like dealing with barkers...lol

Call him anything but Late For Supper

Thats just ross' way of putting a barn door where only a window was needed ;)

I think it's great you went to the shelter! So many dogs and cats need good homes.

You're probably better off w/o a Pug or Boston Terrier. They make nice pets, from what little I know of them, but a lot of those breeds with the scrunched-up snouts have breathing problems.

WTH? I go to Canada for a weekend, come back and the playground is closed, and everyone seems to have gone to bed.

Fine, gonna go make more breakfast sausage...

Congrats on the dog, Amy! He'll take to a new name, now is the best time.

Yes, they do have higher occurances of breathing issues. We had a dog that had a pug look- no pug in her and she had breathing issues. Of course it didn't help that she was my mom's baby and she would feed her table scraps constantly and she was over weight. Like a balloon on legs.

Also issues with bowel from the short kinky tail, from what I've been told.
That one I have never heard.

Ok, here's a couple pics of him on his pillow:

I didn't realize he was sticking his tongue out at me when I took the pic in this next one:
