She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Yeah, this thread could get me into a lot of trouble, that is for sure.

Frogs?? What frogs....little green ones, big brown ones, bull or otherwise?? :ya  We gots ground frogs that only come out once a year during the rainy season to eat and mate. They can stay underground for years in a coma like state and continue to survive without any added food or water.
These are nasty little frogs. They look sweet, but they have teeth, and if you mess with one, they all attack

More like those tree frogs....you know, real pretty and poison and they will go ANYWHERE......

I felt like I was watching a ping pong game for a while there...lol Glad to see ya'll got it straightened out and Local is getting his Hovabator. If and when I upgrade, that's what I am going for, but probably the non digital version with the picture window.

That was kinda painful... if I had to go take one more pic of my bator, I was gonna :smack him... :gig

Really, it was fine... I'm just awful about electronics... I know nothing but if they work or not... :lau

I had two of the 1588's and they were hatching machines!

:highfive:
I have a Leahy cabinet and cabinet hatcher, but still use both of mine too... they are incredible, especially for styros!

Another thing about the genesis is if it ever messes up from a power surge there is a reset switch on the top of the bator inside. It is a little yellow stick looking thing that you just push forward and back and it reset's the bator so it will work just like new.

I didn't know that one... thank you!! :thumbsup

More capacity with hand turning
Can't blame you there

I can't be around to turn them, unfortunately

I was fooling with the idea of putting the eggs on cheesecloth, and just pulling the cloth to turn them.
Leave both ends hanging out the bator with one end longer than the other, so you know which way to turn/pull.

Ain't tried it tho

I put mine on gripper shelf liner and just run my hands over to roll them... pretty simple...

I wouldn't hatch on cheesecloth though, their tiny nails hook in it easy and they can get tangled up quick...

And still keep a couple extra thermos and a hygrometer in the Genesis... no matter how good and bator is, never trust just a single set... :)
