Oh you very helpful young man what you call them besides dinner that is  . I would like to do some bobwhite or at least try I could turn them loose on the farm .have lots of cover .maybe have some hunts  is that a doable thing????

For Sure!

You would prolly look into recall pens but Im sure @TwoCrows
knows more about that to me.

Sure it can be done. You have to wait until they are 3 or 4 months of age for release and enough meat on them worth eating. LOL They continue to grow for 1 year, although by then the meat is tough.

Somebody told me there was a government grant . If you set aside land for the project but I haven't been able to find anything out about it. still checking though . Dove hunts are big around here .always to busy to have one . this sounds like a year long project . maybe hatch in the fall release in spring for a next year hunt. thanks now to find eggs .

You need a license to raise Bobs since they are a Native species to the US. You can release on your own land but if you release on public land, you need a permit for that too.

Bobs are a lot of work. I did it for about a decade and I am so tired of quail. LOL. Bobs are definitely a better hunting bird but if you just want to eat quail, raise Coturnix. They can be dressed and ready for the table at 8 weeks of age.
