I couldn't resist!! The chicks were crying and I was thinking "how am I going to get any sleep with them being so loud" but once the were warm and settled they loved it!! Not a peep out of them! I laid a towel down on the bed but most of them hadn't even gone for the first time yet, so no poops. I still have to get pics of them. They are the cutest chicks ever!

I'm happy for you! That's great that there's interest. I know you'll do awesome with them!

I wouldn't sleep at all if I had done that. I'd have been too nervous I was going to roll over on top of them. It is bad enough if I lay down with my daughter. A chick would be risking their life snuggling up to me.

Exactly! They don't even get proper feed. They are fed white bread and cracked corn! I actually did take a few eggs of his last summer and stuck them in my incubator, only 1 hatched and died the next day. Not trying that again. If we get eggs it will be from a good breeder. I just need to make housing for them first. I saw a couple awesome cages on CL last summer. They were stacked vertical, about 4 or 5 of them and wire too. Would be perfect for trios!

Now that we are getting some daylight hours back my layers are picking up and I collected 15 eggs yesterday. That is the most I've collected in one day and that is out of one coop (minus one egg). It's including the banty's though.

Wow! That's a lot! Do you sell them as hatching eggs too? My girls are doing the exact opposite! They've been laying good all winter and now that I want to collect eggs for the Easter Hal, they are going on strike!
