Well, I can say the extended forcast (not that it will be the same next week, lol) has us as still being in the low 30's for that week, but the following week they have us in the low to mid 40's so it would probably be better to plan for the following week.

Well K, I am glad you are both safe! That's the most important thing. I've watched my kids go through meltdowns during the divorce and it's heart breaking. But your son knows how much you love and support him, even if he can't say it, he feels it! You're an amazing father!

Ok, I can't remember if I posted it on this thread, but I'm on days 9 and 11 with the fertile eggs combined from two sets that were 2 days apart. I'm still having fertility issues with my black rooster, so I combined all developing eggs in one set. I have 21 AMs cruising towards lockdown next Wednesday I set 15 from the black AM and 10 from the cuckoo marans on Saturday. I will candle that set this Saturday, and if it's a bust I will reset that incubator with 2 dozen eggs from my splash rooster that is hitting 95% plus

I've set eggs 2 days apart in the same batch and hatch time just blended together with the two sets just fine. for you!! I set 11 last Thursday. 1 red ring and 2 looked clear. So 8 doing good. Collecting now for the next set.

I will definitely look up your FB page. Take lots of notes during your first few sets. Because, just like you said, it is a science but each person finds their own parameters of what works for them. Once you get down what works for you, you'll have smooth hatches! And trust me, there will be lots of hatching in your future!

For yours? At least $10. You've seen mine. I didn't know better at the time, I just asked ten and got it. I sell those now for $5. The most expensive I have are the AMs, and those are $8. The difference with those is I don't have to do group discounts. I used to knock the price down for 5 or more, but not with the AMs. People that don't want to do a minimum order shipping from a breeder still come out cheaper buying locally

Btw, it does sound like you have a new layer, but just wanted to say if a previous layer has a size jump or lays a bigger around egg, it can cause some blood streaks too... just had a Call lay a huge egg (for a Call) and it had a bit of smear too...

YAYYYYY!!!! I found someone willing to trade me his turkey eggs for my Easter Egger chickens hatched last year. So not only will I be making room in one coop, I'll be filling the other.

I will run a load of our chicken eggs in the GQF, ideally one shelf of 96. I'd love to fill two trays but not sure how many buyers I will have for Easter chicks as TSC has them coming in this weekend.
