I really want to know now! Especially because they are a good size egg. They do not look like pullet eggs. Could maybe one of my regulars decided to stop using the nest box? Is that unheard of? But I am waiting on a half a dozen young girls, so

Yes, a regular could stop using a nest box... especially if you added new birds anytime lately... silent protest, lol...

Could be a pullet though... and some pullets start off laying decent size...

I have heard of a grumbach, but never used one...

I think I need another incubator that holds at least 4 doz. What should I get? I guess I could get 2 more that hold 24 each....... Brinsea is so expensive.

ETA: 24 eggs. Not doz.

ummmmmm we have VEINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, tell me its not in my head! day 3 yesterday I decided to take a look at my eggs in the 'Bator. Took one out and took a bright LED flashlight to it. didn't see anything really, I really didn't know what the heck I was looking for anyway. THEN it happened!!!!! on my 8th egg I was checking it out super careful, I could see a red spot with little tiny spider webbing veins coming out of it!!!!! Ok, so I had to go back and check them all out again. Didn't want them to get cold so I did it quickly. I found 3 that have the red spot and veining. Not very big at all. Should I be seeing that at day 3 or it is just in my head?

In my white and light browns I can usually see growth at day 3&4. So you're probably not crazy!! Congrats!!

WHOHOOOOOOO.... oh heck, I'm nervous now, what do I do, how do I care, oh crud! the nursery! gotta get to the box store, the house! oh wow, I need to expand, OMG OMG OMG I'm expecting..... I don't know weather to be happy and laugh or scared and cry!!!!!! lololol.... what if I fail? what if they are born defective? what If Im not a good mother!?

this first time hatching is getting fun.
