well, hopefully...... at least I might??????

I think I need another incubator that holds at least 4 doz. What should I get? I guess I could get 2 more that hold 24 each....... Brinsea is so expensive. :barnie

ETA: 24 eggs. Not doz. :)

The octagon 20 Eco with a cradle is not that expensive. You don't get the digital controls but otherwise If you're used to using a separate hygro/thermo, it's not a big deal. I'm not over the top crazy about it but Ravyn mentioned the Genisis. I might look into getting that one for a hatcher. Those are two options of better ones. Why not build another one? You did great with the first one!

ummmmmm we have VEINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok, tell me its not in my head! day 3 yesterday I decided to take a look at my eggs in the 'Bator. Took one out and took a bright LED flashlight to it. didn't see anything really, I really didn't know what the heck I was looking for anyway. THEN it happened!!!!! on my 8th egg I was checking it out super careful, I could see a red spot with little tiny spider webbing veins coming out of it!!!!! Ok, so I had to go back and check them all out again. Didn't want them to get cold so I did it quickly. I found 3 that have the red spot and veining. Not very big at all. Should I be seeing that at day 3 or it is just in my head?

Oh you're making me remember my first hatch!! The excitement of seeing those first veins, candling every night, checking temps and humidity 30 times a day, dreaming of day 21. I'm so happy for you!! Yes, those are veins. I can usually always see mine by day 3. Soon you will see the heart beating and them swimming around. Are you going to trace your air cells on day 7,14,18? It helps keep track of growth and monitor humidity. And it's fun! Congrats on the new signs of life! :hugs

I don't start till the forth day but you saw veins for sure . I would let them go till the seventh day and you will see really good veins in the ones you saw veins in . and not big at all is about right . now all you have to figure out is how your going to handle the addiction
