See ya 'round.

Thank you! I have three others out now on that side and they are piling up near it and have rolled it a bit so I can't see the hole at the moment, however before that it was finally making the hole bigger - so that's great! I'm really hoping it's not stuck and can make it out.  Since I did the dummy thing of setting over three days, would there be a point where I can remove the ones that have hatched and fluffed if others haven't hatched yet? I could put a steaming kettle right near the bator when I lift the lid to get them out, hopefully the moist air would be drawn in instead of the drier air.  I can wait as long as Friday night I think - that would be 3 days for the first guy that hatched out last night. What do you think? Day 21 for that last ones I set will be tomorrow evening. Thanks so much!

My incubator lives on top of my brooder, so I take my chicks out as soon as they start to move around in the incubator.

I have helped them out when they were like that. You just have to be really careful. You can use a washcloth and warm water to help unstick em. Then you can wash them in soap and water after you get them out. Good luck. I shut the bators down today. After high demand last year, it seems no one on Craigslist wants anything to do with chickens this year, or eggs.

But here are some chick pics, guys!

Our first broody. :)
Beautiful.

My hatch is complete. Everyone is out. 12/14 shipped silkie eggs (that made it to lockdown, I had 3 very very early quitters and one non developer for 18 total) hatched for 12 awesome little fluffballs!! 7 of my 9 Spitzhaubens and 3 out of 4 of my green eggs, (only yeilding one nn). So 22 little babies in the bator. Happy here.

And I did the member interview and it was posted: https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/1098896/byc-member-interview-amylynn2374#post_16895553
