Worth a shot
hey you! Glad to be seeing you around more often! I figure this way it wouldn't be a huge loss, if the worst were to happen, but it's a good way for em to learn. how many? These hens also have been sitn tight for two months each so I'd like to do all I can to help them achieve their goal...
My little OEGB has no problem with 6-7 bantam eggs, could maybe do more. Ain't tried more yet.
Same OEGB handled 4 jumbo leghorn eggs with no problem.
She will kill them though.
I have to remove quickly and put in brooder.
When she goes broody she'll sit on a golfball till she withers away to nothing
So I have to give her eggs
These are good girls also, who let me mess with em an check things out. Id like them to be able because they want to So badly. They let me collect the extra eggs they steal, they get up daily to eat n drink an dustbathe, they're certainly not killin me in production.
Sounds like you'll have chicks soon then!!
April first I was whittled down to only 32 birds, and due to all the babies I'm playing with I now have 130 birds
only 10 are over one year old, and I gave two of my laying hens to a friend today...![]()

At least you know how many . I haven't a clue
just a bunch . My cabinets aren't producing like I had hoped . Or I'm not operating them right . A tad less than 50% I think . but the rain kept spiking the humidity . Well guess I had thirty clears and quitters or more at lock down a lot more during lock down .:/ just can't sit there and look at them all day . Tomorrow will be day 14 on the wild turkey eggs . see how they look .
K!!!:Hugs
!
u know me and my record keeping... I like to see it all on paper, mostly cuz I'll forget by morning!![]()
I'm sorry those cabinets aren't doing real well yet, maybe you can improve with time and a little bit of tweaking. It does help when we're able to babysit them and I hope u can devote more time as things are settling with Ben and his ability to ride the bus.
Good news that the eggs are still developing, I hope they hatch out well for you!
You'll appreciate that I'm buying two La Mancha bucklings. The start of a dairy goat line that can support my calfsthey're bottle babies
Friday evening I'm planning to make the purchase and I'll put up pics asap![]()
