She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

On my iphone if I add a picture I have to touch the page/screen outside of the text entry box. Then I can select the text entry box and continue on my way. If I add a pic and then touch inside the text entry box then the whole thing is gone and I'm logged out. I don't know how the heck that happens.
I've had that happen on my iPhone, too. Sometimes if I hit the back arrow, the safari back button, it will bring it back, but not always

sideWing, nothing to do about lost posts....I posted pics of my purebred BCM roo to that uber-BCM thread and asked for critiques, like 24 hours ago. Nada, no response, I even asked if my pics were so bad that it made any critique impossible, no response. Do you think my cross project (BCM and red sexlink) might have made them miffed at me?
They can be a little snooty, and sometimes no reply is better than the reply you may get

But I really wanted a response, even a devastating one. He came to me via a local Master Garderner, quite a distinction up here, and she said he was pretty darn good. So hearing what they said would be awesome, especially since she just gave me 2 more roos.

Pulled the paper towels out of the center tray of the brooder, the 3 Stooges can eat food or wood, I no longer care. I may well be developing a breed that can exist on wood chips, for all I know. They left the tray with the food on paper towels and went into an adjoining one and scraped away the big chips so they could peck at tiny wood chips...sigh. If they poop, they'll survive...but seeing them peck at their poop on the paper towels was getting too discouraging.

And like my temperature misconceptions with the bator, trying to maintain a reasonable temperature in the brooder has been challenging. I woke up this morning to the temp being 83.5F...I lowered the IR lamp, brought it to 104F...yikes! Raised it again, got it to like 95F (perfect) but as the sun goes down, so too does the brooder temp. Sigh...anyone know a temperature sensitive motor that can pull the IR lamp closer to the ground as the temp drops? never mind...

LOL. I use a brooder plate (Brinsea Ecoglow) and love it. Others have made "brooding caves" out of heating pads over a wire frame. The chicks run under and out of it as they like, and I never have to worry about temperature in the brooding box. Did I mention that I love it?? LOL

Do a BYC search for mama heating pad (MHP) for more info if you are curious. I'll never go back to a heat lamp again!

Update: Final polish just hatched! Yeah!! Still nothing on the other eggs, including Blobby, so I figure I'm done, but I will leave them in till tomorrow. (just starting day 23 in about an hour)

Well, there are 3 of them in 12 sq.ft. of brooder, and the lamp really only affects the center part, so they have lots of places to go to get in the right temp. My first brood I was able to keep that center part at what appeared to be 95F...this time that's been more of a challenge. But since I can raise and lower it as I want, and it has 2 "intensity" settings, I should be able to find one that's good enough. I have spent so much in the past 6 weeks that I really gotta make what I got work...;-]

I hear you there, just throwing out an option for the future. Ps, I'm one who likes things that make life easier!
