Ok, so I have been helping someone in pm and she did an eggtopsy today that I want you guys to look at and tell me what is going on with the yolk. I have never seen a yolk look like this. She took the pics at the time of eggtospy so it wasn't exposed to the air and allowed to dry out

In other news: I got all the batten up on the coop. The tin is on the roof, but needs to be cut even on the overhang and it still needs braces to support underneath. (My landlord does everything a$$backward and wrong.) And since it's reused tin, I'll have to fill the nail holes. Then I can throw up the roosts, throw down the bedding and kick em out. Almost- there's a couple small things I want to go back and redo or fix. Everything should be done tomorrow hopefully and I can move them out Friday and then I will struggle with setting up the run Saturday. I'm thinking about trying my special needs roo out with them and see how it goes.

Amazingly beautiful!!!
If you can't enjoy watching a baby chick for an hour, you can't like ice cream, you can't taste a good steak, you can't feel the warmth of a sun shower, or smell the freshness of just cleaned sheets. And for every additional hour you enjoy watching baby chicks, all those other things get better...;-]
Yes yes yes!
I've had that happen on my iPhone, too. Sometimes if I hit the back arrow, the safari back button, it will bring it back, but not always
I use a Windows phone and don't seem to have that problem so much, but loading pics is a real PITA. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

Well, there are 3 of them in 12 sq.ft. of brooder, and the lamp really only affects the center part, so they have lots of places to go to get in the right temp. My first brood I was able to keep that center part at what appeared to be 95F...this time that's been more of a challenge. But since I can raise and lower it as I want, and it has 2 "intensity" settings, I should be able to find one that's good enough. I have spent so much in the past 6 weeks that I really gotta make what I got work...;-]
I put my lamp on one end and watch where they go. A little ways away or alot away. Lol

Pardon? I believe that's up to me, thank you. And Amy named Blobby lol
Congrats! Maybe I missed it but what colour you got? Pictures please :)
White? Buff? Not really sure yet. The new one looks like it might have some dark streaks. Will get some pics when this last one drys out a bit and yall can tell me. These are my first polish and there are soooo many colors when I google! Lol

Hmmmmmm... Almost looks like the sac got pinched at the supply line to the body? I'm using my phone, so I'll look again when I get on the tablet.

On my iphone if I add a picture I have to touch the page/screen outside of the text entry box. Then I can select the text entry box and continue on my way. If I add a pic and then touch inside the text entry box then the whole thing is gone and I'm logged out. I don't know how the heck that happens.

I had clicked to preview and it took me to my subscriptions page. That is the first time some thing like this has jappened

:thumbsup I'm still waiting for it to stop raining long enough to get anything done!

I wish the foot wasn't in the way, but I think the veins (or maybe cord?) wrapped around it so tightly, it compromised the ability for the sac to develop properly. Very strange. I had one where the chick's (maybe duck's) legs were encased in the sac. It was strange too.

Looks like the baby continued to grow, but was unable to absorb the yolk. Sad..

She said when it busted open it had chunks in it. I had one that got bacteria in it that looked scrambled with chunks, but never seen one like that. It almost looks like membranes shrank around it, but it's probably the veins.
