She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Oh yes, here are a some of them yesterday ~

Here are the 4 polish x Amber chicks that are 6 weeks now, still not sure on sex. Have heard no crowing but the comb and wattles are looking ominous ~

4 hatched and three more pipped. If the three more pipped hatch then that makes 50% hatch rate on shipped eggs. I would consider that a complete success, but I'm hoping we do even better than that.

Keep it going!! Woot!

And even SC isn't going to push that one. It may have been funny once or twice, but I could see that getting old in a hurry

Thanks Yorkshire! More this morning so far.

So cute!  Look like perfect little zip rings.  Looks like your changes were good!  :weee

My daughter and I sat and watched one from Pip to hatch last night. It was the first time I sat and watch the whole thing. Amazing! The chick zipped once all the way around and then started zipping all the way around again before it got completely around on the second zipping the top came off. So cool to see. Birth is amazing no matter what kind of creature it is.

Great looking hatch :celebrate

Too cute!! Thank you!  The little yellowish babies are what all 3 of mine look like.  What color will they end up?  A couple of mine are getting some dark streaks in a few spots.

White I'm thinking right now. They hatched from eggs from the WCB girls who are with the silver lace roo. They seem to be either black chicks or white chicks. Because I'm selling from day olds I'm not getting chance to see the finished bird. I have three of those and another yellowish chick but that's going to be chamois (Buff). The chamois has a more orange colour around the eyes and now feathers are coming in well you can see the chamois colour more.

I love watching as many as I can watch. These new polish were the absolute coolest though. Big wide zips, exposing much more of their body as they zipped. I could actually watch them make their turn before the next stitch in the zip. Glad you daughter is involved... sounds like she will be a good egg-sitter... lol

Come to think of it, I believe the girl I got the eggs from told me WCB and buff. I had totally forgotten it, and I wasn't actually sure what WCB stands for! LOL Polish newb, I am. I'm still seeing more yellow coloring than orange I think.

That's what was so cool. We lucked out and he made a big hole first in our direction. Like a window. We would watch him turn a bit and then a piece of shell would fly off. Over and over. That's how I knew he twisted and zipped it twice. I expected him to push out after the first zip, but he just kept turning and zipping. The second round he was just zipping the membrane really because the shell was cracked all the way around. So cool.

Oh, I forgot to say thank you!  Coming from a fellow hunter, that means a lot to me!  :)
:thumbs up:
