She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

Oh good grief, I wasn't talking about you at all. I have referenced it enough times that I meant it wouldn't be funny from me any more

Hey Yorkshire, what would your eye tell you on these? Three months old, and I'm still scared to sell pullets.

From left to right, I would say girl, boy, boy, girl, boy
My first batch I would have called them all girls, but see how #2 and #3 have the crest starting to arch around their eyes? My rooster has a long, flowing crest, and the young cockerels have been very "pullet" looking until their crests really start to get long. Their crests will be full like a pullet, then it will just keep getting longer and longer. There's no comb to speak of on any of them yet, and WCB hens have wattles, so the crest is all I have to go by.

Wow, they are definitely cuter as babies...

Well poor little Tiny Tim passed away last night. First night I wasn't there and he didnt make it. At least I didnt have to cull him myself

I'm sorry to hear that. It's hard because those are always the ones you work the hardest with

Whew! I'm glad you said that. I didn't mean to be offensive, but wow! LMAO! Now I know what I have to look forward to... without thinking I need to cull these horrid things!

Very hard to offend me. You call it as you see it. Polish juveniles are horrendous.
I'm actually debating selling off the entire flock. They just aren't selling around here. I thought the uniqueness of the breed would draw more attention, but all my calls are for productive egg layers and pretty egg baskets. I hatched 22, sold 3 chicks, and still have 19 that I hope I can at least sell the pullets. I'm thinking about selling the flock and starting a flock of pure Ameraucanas, preferably wheaten

At three months there is nothing too boy like is jumping out at me. Of the WCB I hatched the boys had bigger wattles at 3 months. I know this is not a lot to go on as each bird is different. The crest look so much bigger than the 2 crazy girls I have.

The bird trying to escape is a roo, but a chamois feather pecked him one night in the coop. I wish I had kept him now and not the blue splash roo.

See, that's what I mean. I keep reading about the spiky crests on the males. Mine never do that, they look just like the pullets, then their crests just keep getting longer and longer. Maybe someone will crow soon

The one in your first pic is gorgeous! Is that a hen? That crest is so tight

HAHAHAH!!!!! I like my Polish at all ages!!! I do have some pretty scraggly looking "kids" you could say still confused as to what they are except I feel one is male and one is female.

Yes the first one is a hen. I have 2 of them and they are like spoiled children!! I mean they literally SCREAM when you go out for treats and or go be let out. They do it for attention and to guilt trip you. Friendly though and real characters but I could do without the screaming.
