That's great!!!

You got that right! I think that because the chick has to do ALL the work, it's really even more miraculous than live birth.
You know I never thought of it that way but it really is amazing.

I was a computer pro all my life, and my Dad kept saying...you should be in sales...so when computers forced me out...I became a farmer...and I love it. Who can't sell stuff they grew, or, who can't buy stuff I grew....;-]

How did computers force you out? I've had to recreate my skill set many times over the past few decades, but constant technical advances make sure we are all rookies again every so often.

I am not sure if my birds are my cure for work, or if my job is my cure for bird obsession...but either way I balance them and take the best of both.

Do you know Al Gore? Is he as cool as everybody says he is?

No, I knew all the guys Al funded who actually made it work...and work better, and do more, and become awesome (way long after Al had any say in anything...)...;-] I was in West Africa making stuff work in a way nobody in America even imagined, when Al was "making his mark"

Lolz...google me...at one time, the 42nd most important person in networking...lolz...now a happy garlic farmer trying to get my 100 layers...;-]

That belief is the cure itself right there Walnut...if you are obsessive, balance is the cure...for me, I've stopped being obsessive...I think, and if you disagree I will fight you till I die...oh, wait, that's obsessive...darn

I haven't done it, though I've studied it.  Since the advent of Cornish x broilers it's nearly become a lost art.  But there is a very long and well illustrated thread on the topic here on BYC...

Historically, though, you can grow capons as big and fat as you like as they don't toughen up due to hormones.

If I could just use something to put them out or laughing gas or something I would do it to every extra rooster. McMurry and other places sell kits for it.
