There is a fix for your tool trouble.  Go to an estate auction and buy a lot (not quantity...ya know...a collection).  You can generally get them cheap that way.

But don't ask my advice, I couldn't buy kitchen and butler's pantry cabinets that fit our house, with a cellar stairwell projecting 25" into the kitchen where the cabinets were going, and 19" deep base cabinets in the butler's pantry.  I hired a portable sawmill to mill a couple of oak trees that were cut down on the former farmland, stickered it and let it dry for a few years, and bought:
Delta table saw with 52" table and fence
Dewalt 12" planer
Delta 6" jointer
Porter Cable router with plunge and fixed base, a bunch of bits including panel raising and dovetail, and a router table
Porter Cable dovetail jig
Dewalt 10" compound miter saw
Bunch of other tools

And built my cabinets, two rooms worth of base and upper cabinets.  The tools were paid for, and I still have a bunch of lovely quartersawn white oak left for my next project.  The doors are all haunched mortise and tenon with double raised panels, and the cabinets are not standard sizes, they are made to fit the room's non-standard dimensions.  All drawers are dovetailed ash with bottoms fit in grooves.  The hardest thing was screwing the uppers to the wall and hoping they would stay when heavily loaded.  And they have, for 12 years and counting.

I wanted soapstone countertops but settled for granite.  When the granite installers came, they laughed at how overbuilt my cabinet frames were.  "We install them on particleboard cabinets all the time".

Ooo that's awsome! We need pics!! :) I'd like to build some furniture some day but I don't have time to pick up any more hobbys!

That's why I lost 'em early. Who needs all the drama? :gig
Did you at least see the parade? Queenie won't like you if you didn't see the parade :/

I haven't stripped a Torx yet, but I imagine the only removal tool would be the sawsall. I do have a metal blade guard. I really like my eyes and fingers. I also have one set-in-stone rule in the shop. No cold ones until the last cut is made. No joke :thumbsup

Excellent rule! :)

Walnut, it's been 12 hrs since first wrong side pip. This is the hole I made in the air cell for him:
400

But as I was making the hole a piece of shell fell off from his original pip, making this:
400

I moistened it and put him back in the incubator. Now what???

Yeah

yeah - it held steady at 100.2F and 65% for 1/2 hour so i placed the tray of eggs in. The temp dropped back down to 55 but has been rising very slowly since. The humidity has also been dropping in there, so it will be good.

I'll take the eggs out of the tray when i do my first candle and mark air cells in a few days.

I'd be going nuts. lol

I wasn't thinking, WV at the beach? Did you at least take your boots off?
I did! Lots of red skin now! Lol Just went by "goat island" where there are several goats out on an island (go figure!) but also a bunch of peacocks! Couldn't get a pic of one displaying, but they looked huge!

So cute!!

Here is my little silver Maran cross chick is so beautiful! I am in love.

Dawwwww. ^.^
I can't wait for my girls to start laying so I can have an excuse to make my incubator and hatch some eggs. Sadly, Sue is a no frills kind of rooster. He chases them until he corners them and mounts up. We've been finding feathers often and now we know why. For some reason I thought I wouldn't find feathers all over until a molt. I guess it's more like hair and normally shedding etc. Or he's just very active.

See, I have no tolerance for this type of behavior. I used to think it was normal until I witnessed my Welsummer(Fah Q) covering the girls. He was so gentle and they were so willing. I can't wait to see what comes of their chicks. All of our hens are Australorps, I have seen some pretty crosses from those genes. Today our LG decided to suddenly shoot up to 108 and then flipped the breaker on the outlet.

I'm never going to be able to regulate that temperature. Fixing to give up and get a hovabator. Amy keeps me going. lol

And there's a monkey Island in the southern part of the state. Same reason. no joke. They used to do experiments there, and now monkeys live on the island. Near Beaufort. Sometimes you can see them from the boat
