Right, I think we should automatically be honorary members of whatever our kids do.....lolNo doubt I'm sure you do! I spent all those days/nights at a baseball field. I think I could have gone pro LOL
We're thinking about taking the summer off from karate. With homeschooling and the fact I make our curriculum, we don't use an already made curriculum, I need a couple months break.....lol Practically as soon as we are done with this school year I have to sit down and get a rough plan of what we are doing and what materials we are using for next year. Our LOI's are supposed be in by the first of July and then our IHIPS will be due after they recieve them and acknowledge it.I spent those days with my daughter in competition gymnastics, dance and travel ice hockey, my son in travel ice hockey, and my husband never on less than three hockey teams plus tournaments. I am glad the kids are grown and pay for their own recreation...and drive themselves there too.

If mine does not hold 25% dry I add a wet sponge and voila, it usually keeps it right about 30%.Congrats to your boy on his orange belt! I don't blame you for taking a break! That must be tough homeschooling, I'm sure it's great though. I'm not sure I would be cut out for it, I really think it takes a special parent to do that.
So far so good (knock on wood) with day one completed. Has been steady at 100F and 35% humidity- with no water added. So I'm not going to add any, I read an article that was on here, from a guy who wrote about dry incubating. He said he doesn't add any water unless he gets below 20% or 25% I think. I don't think I would want to go below 25%, and I would do what the article says and add a TSP at a time.
We're supposed to have a thunderstorm Sunday- probably not. But it it me thinking to have a back up plan, the power issue I had last time occurred while I was sleeping. But I want a back up plan in place in case we start getting storms. Husband reminded me of hurricane Sandy, and the one before that. I can't remember the name of it but we lost power for a week.

you need a generator for back up just a small one will do. you lose power you lose eggs I have one just enough for the fridg a light or 2 and the incubators well its a 5000 watt .
