She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

That bird is freaking rad. Great pic!

I have a dirt floor in my coop and was raised around dirt floor coops. We don't have rain or humidity issues so I'm not sure if I will change.
I'll have to get a better pic of him and the other one that looks like him/her. I call them my calicos. I have absolutely no clue what they are, what their mix is. They have awesome coloring. They were from the eggs I bought from a local gal to do the easter hatch witha and she has somewhere around 145 birds, so I can't narrow it down....lol

Yup, No fancy digital display or anything, heating element at the top. At what days do I mark air cells?

LG 9200 probably, that's what I use. It's better then the newer ones, especially the 9300...lol Most mark at days 7/14/18.
Fancy digs! Your EE look so much like my EE...
Cool. The blue/grays?

My guys in their new home. (I plan to put a floor in eventually, right now it is ground.)

I agree with Walnut, love that coop

I really like all the white based EEs. I only have one white. Most of mine are orange and red

I asked a similar question in the other thread because I wanted to darken my cuckoo eggs. They pretty much said that it would probably work, but if you were serious about BCM not to mix the birds. They love you, though :gig
Alaskan can probably answer genotype questions. I honestly have no idea.
That is a beautiful cuckoo, BTW. I'm curious about the leg color and hackles. Mine are all black, white, and grey with almost white shanks

I ran into an interesting connection between leg coloring and barring or cuckoo that I didn't realize. You might know this but, the barring Gene is linked to a gene that cleans up black pigment in Shanks so you very rarely see a barred or even cuckoo foul which displays any black pigment in its shanks. Females can display a bit of black pigment in this area, however it's quite uncommon. That's why barred rock roosters with two copies of the barring gene always have whiter legs than the females. I didn't realize that before.

This is my little eye pecker:

And @sideWing These are the two I was talking about. The first one is a better pic, shows coloring better of the one you commented on, the second one is the one with similiar coloring only darker.

Coop looks great Amy. I wish I had a dirt floor because I would like to do deep litter inside. It's so dry here I have to water down the run to keep down the dust and help the stuff decompose. Since the coop has a wood floor - watering it down wouldn't work so I use a layer of PDZ & sand and scoop every so often.

SC & SideWing & other BCM owners, how do you like my pullet?
