She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

I am sorry if I offended you @scflock . It was meant a joke except for the last part.

Offend me?

No, I just leave abruptly at the end of the day. You can't sling the insane amount of bs that I do and not be able to take it in return. I actually have more respect for the ones that jab me back. It makes it more fun.

It's the ones that get their feelings all hurt because one silly comment touches a nerve, and they have to go lay down for a while that really drive me nuts
LOL. He doesn't get offended, he's not from New York.....lol

Looks good but if I am going to pay 200+ then I should not have to "jerry-rig" anything!!!! LoL!!!!

I totally agree. For that much money, the Brinsea rails do leave a little to be desired, but there is a reason they are designed that way. There is no internal egg turner, the entire incubator rocks on a cradle. It is designed to hold anything from quail eggs to goose eggs, and the eggs stand upright, so the rails are made to be adjusted to fit a wide variety of sizes, There are slots that the rails are designed to slide into that are spaced about as far apart as the teeth on the wide end of a hair comb. As far as the space at the end of the rows, that's just going to happen, unless you have chickens that know to lay eggs that are the exact circumference to fit 6 eggs from wall to wall. Bugtraq sounded like he was getting aggravated, and when I get aggravated I have a tendency to make things more difficult than they really are, so that's why I posted so many different times. I was hoping he would regroup overnight and give it another shot this morning. It's really not that difficult after the first time. I can load mine in ten minutes.

And don't worry about him. If he can dish it out, he can take it!

Nice!
I'm so jelly, none of ours will ripen yet! *salivates* I can't wait to see how big our Kellog's breakfast tomatoes get. :D
We do have a few watermelons about that size. lol

The Great Tomatotomatotomatotomatotomato
It's a German Giant. This is my first year trying indeterminates, and I don't think I will ever plant another hybrid. I have never had a yield like I'm getting this year. The only problem is I didn't know how big the plants got. I will be building trellises for next year

@WVduckchick ever made a safety hole? What do you use?

I've never done one trying to rescue one I believed to be alive. But since my first "eggtopsy" attempt found a live chick, I go into every eggtopsy assuming it could be alive. I have a seam ripper that has a nice sharp point that I have used to scratch the surface and weaken it before poking through. I've also used one of those tiny Phillips screwdrivers (like you work on eye glasses with) to "drill" a pilot hole. A nice sharp knife works too, if the shell is scratched really well first.

Post 2100, Time for pics of coop and the chicks from my first hatch

Coop is all second hand except for the crews and flymesh.
Cool. I can't help but read fly mesh as 'my flesh' lol

I use a push pin to start my holes then my tweezers to widen.

Now up to 3300 congrats on getting your 100% Amy
Nice set of congratulations SC
I would love to do some broody hatchees. I have 2 7 months old silkies so once they star laying I'm hoping that at least one will decide to be a good broody. My backyard mix chick is also the first in 4 generations to be incubator hatched so she might brood too. I really do need some more hens though as I have 2 roosters, with another 2 on the way and only 4 hens. Well 5 at the minute but zorrow goes out to the farm in a month. I just hope she resumes laying so we can get some frizzle genes chooks
