She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

It really is a great dust bath.... until it rains. Now I just need to find a way to flush it! LMAO! Hey, SC, you're the construction guy, do you do plumbing too?

And you probably have them up front and center, just so everyone can see them, huh?
Just dig a really deep hole under the toilet, then fill it with gravel. That's only a one bedroom, so the drain line doesn't have to be too long

Silkies are the first thing you see when you walk in. You know how the bakery is at the front of the grocery store? Same principle

Put a toilet seat lid on and lower it when it's going to rain.

I actually thought of that, but they like to roost up on the tank too and I'm afraid they'd try to sit on the lid and knock it down on one maybe dusting in the bowl. I've seen 4 or 5 on the potty at the same time! LOL You know how girls and going in groups is.. LOL

Egg 8 has progressed a bit so should hatch while I sleep I'd guess. Egg 6 still no external pip grrr, I swear that potential duckling is lazy. The ducklings are all doing well. Peeping up a storm. The blue swedes are getting huge. They are about a week old I believe.

Culling is usually necessary for the egg breaker, but the egg eaters (after broken) can usually be cured.

Put porcelain eggs in the nest, and collect the real ones VERY frequently. Pecking on a hard unbreakable egg gives them a headache.

Empty an egg by scrambling inside the shell and blowing it out, or find one already pecked open and open the hole and empty it out. Fill with mustard and put back where the egg was. If you add powdered alum the effect is even better. (It's often available in the spice section at the grocery, or at the pharmacy)

Use roll out or self collecting nests that don't allow the eggs to sit in plain sight.

A combination of methods may work.
Ewe. Alum is nasty. If that doesn't cure them nothing will....lol Some good ideas though. Thanks. I generally do collect them frequently, I think that's why I've only had a couple instances of her doing it, so I will start with Oyster shell and if that doesn't do anything I'll make a mustard/alum bomb. ;-)

Wrap a couple bungie cords around it to hold it up so they can't knock it down.

I do most of my buying and selling on CL. My wife and I don't FB, so CL is the best way to reach a broad audience. The internet is the best thing that ever happened to buying and selling, but it comes with a price. You have to wade through a sea of idiots to get to the serious people. I have met some great people from CL, but I have also met some that I regretted giving my address. I have learned, as I'm sure you have, that people that actually know what you have and know that they are good quality are willing to pay the fair price. I don't have to entertain the lowballers any more. "Oh, so you you can get chicks at the auction for $2? Well, good luck with that"

I hate people...

Maybe we can get NTBugTraq to come up with a CL reply filter. Call it "DooshTrac". You can even have that one for free, I won't trademark it

Thanks everyone for the kind words!!! I worked hard and I am so happy they all survived! I sold 3 of them yesterday and I have a gentleman interested in the rest and a couple of my other bantam roosters. He should be getting them this week. My Hubby and Oldest daughter want to keep Vulture Face... LoL!! I told them NO!! LoL!!! If I did keep her she would be part of my layer group only. LoL!! But I do not intend to so I do not have to worry about it.

@scflock yes Angela was definitely like "What the Heck are you doing in there?" LoL!!!!

LOL!!!! But it needs to be a plug in.

I am thankful every day for entering the job market at the same time as the PC hit the business market...glad that BBSes were replaced by internet access...very thankful that the internet grew into the World Wide Web and left CompuServe and Prodigy "guided access" behind...thrilled that high speed cable brings more data home, and faster than ever...

And then I wonder why I spend more time researching online than I did when I had a 1200 baud modem and Prodigy.
