Ok, here are the pics of the new Ameraucanas. After doing a little research yesterday, I am very happy with the purchase. They are the offspring of birds purchased directly from Paul Smith. I had never heard of him before, so I googgled. He is a huge breeder from Texas who is also on the board of directors of the Ameraucana Breeders Club. I had no idea. The woman I bought them from didn't mention that in the ad, but she told me when I went to pick them up. She sent me an email Paul had sent her telling her how to identify which birds came from which of his pens. These are the most direct from the breeder birds I have ever bought, only 1 generation removed. I think I accidentally scored a great deal![]()

If you are in northeast, you aren't that far from me. I've driven further to buy birds...Very pretty birds! I guess if we ever decide to get some, maybe we can make a trip up your way.
Great score, Love the blue.
Your camera phone doesn't have a timer? Even my cheap old one has that.

And someone has some turkey hatching questions^
Hey, camera buffs...question for you. I'd like to get photos of each of my birds, but by myself its hard to hold them let alone use 2 hands to take the pic with my camera phone (which sucks anyway). So, what's cheap, doesn't require 2 hands to get a focused picture (as in it auto focuses and doesn't need me to press a little for it to focus, then press some more), and can take a bunch of pictures quickly (so I can pick the one where the chick isn't flapping its wings or turned away from the camera). It also needs a flash that can keep up with the picture taking. The Canon EOS Rebel T5 seems to have all the features I want, but up here its C$400, just wondered if anyone can think of a cheaper one??
The reason I posted their link over here is because their problems weren't quite revelant to this thread's topic, but then again, I guess neither is jabbing yourself in the eye. Haha. Now please don't misunderstand this, but I think the idea is to post a link to this thread in those other threads and recommend they come ask here...not trying to get folks here into other threads...I mean after all, what if those others threads turn out to be more entertaining, we'd have no experts left...;-]
A man like scflock has got a great big hole, right in the middle of him. He can never kill enough, or steal enough, or inflict enough pain to ever fill it.
Can't wait to see the pics. There is a sports mode or setting right? Might be great for fast moving poultry.Well, I have ordered a Canon EOS Rebel T5 18MP DSLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm IS II Lens Kit on sale up here for Canada Day. I'm saving C$255 and it has all the features I want. So look forward to hopefully better pics of my birds after next Monday.
