That's a pretty one, but I'm no expert on snakes, so I have no idea what kind. When in doubt about poisonous or not, I look at the shape of the head. If it's diamond shaped, I ain't touching it, but if it's non-poisonous, I usually let them go. Unless they happen to be in the silkie pen...

Ended up it is one of many different kinds of rat snake....there's like a hundred different rat snakes.

Wow - there is no way my brother could have possibly taught me, I went though enough teachers at schools, either getting the teach to take leave or bieng expelled. I didn't really start to behave till I was 15.
