She said/He said Who's right? Who's wrong? No one!

raining hard and I'm loving It silkie your right so many where to start WV nice Duck chicken next happy anniversary I guess you got the 20? SC in the cattle business we call that a brand. hope your artist can get the color right . I think your right on with 30% this hatch might need to use a dehumidifier in the incubator room .
I have been to the woman that I want to do the tattoo. She's been voted Asheville's best 13 years in a row. There's a waiting list. The detail and color in her tattoos is incredible. If I'm going to spend that much on one, she's the only one that's going to do it.
Right now, my Brinsea will run 28-30% dry with eggs in it. If things stay that way, this should be an extremely easy set. I just hope I have a better hatch rate.

I was very pleased with how the seller/sender packed and marked the eggs. Not a single crack and she sent two extra. I'm not thrilled about the color choices or ratio. It was supposed to be a mixed lot of 5 different colors. 50% of the eggs are the same color. Anyone know what color B/S2 stands for? I'm thinking Blue/shelf? Idk, though. And I only got one egg of the color I really wanted!

The package was covered with stickers, I counted 12 and labeled with her NPIP #. She did a great job on the packing. Too bad the postal service fudged up. I'll have to wait until tonight to check air cells better. Looks like all are loose, a few saddle, but none seemed to be detached, from what I could tell. It was too bright in the house and I didn't want to over handle them after all the mileage that's on them.

I've never seen these before, when I start shipping next year, I plan on getting these.
If you can, can you post a pic of the packed eggs before you take them out? I've never shipped before, but sideWing and WV will be getting my first trial, so I will be looking at packing pictures

I don't know if streaks just felt like sleeping with her sister instead of the other chooks, or thinks that shadows needs help to keep the eggs warm for the night.

I love it that she's helping her out! So cute!

You see that word that got *******?
That's the one silkie called ross out on. Ross broke it up with spaces. Thank goodness silkie was here. I think I saw the Horsemen lining up in the clouds...

It wasn't even a bad word! I guess po'd is not family friendly. I won't use it again.

Sorry the pics are dark. I closed all the blinds in the house for candling purposes. She did a great job. Each egg individually bubble wrapped, then put in styro cartons, then packing paper and double boxed! I have more pics from other shipments, I'll send them to you, pm. Every breeder I've dealt with has done awesome packing. I've never had a broken egg.

I need help fast! Three of the 20 meat chicks.
Last night one had a wet bottom, Andi thought he had just fallen inter watered. This morning t and two others have wet bottoms, closed eyes, are standing in the corners with their wings slight lifted. Does it sound like Cocci?

I have BCM pullets from early hatches that are looking good and should be laying by November can't wait my own pullets from my own eggs . I made a promise I must keep .60 dozen eggs for Easter sunrise breakfast next year. My sisters cook it every year and half the town comes . so many people we have it at the school. My sister caters and loves my maroon eggs as she calls them says they make the best banana pudding .really thought I'd get to stay home today but have a customer with a water problem so I'm off to the city soon. best to look at those when it's raining. so all my things that need doing will have to wait. maybe I won't be 20 pages behind When J come home O yeah I think .we need to load up and head for Mich. and do a little Hybrid dog hunting. # 2 fishing lead replaces the buckshot in a12 gage you can't get any more around here anymore. It's all steel now and can't shoot it in my old guns.

K- I won't get the Brinsea for another week, the sister is visiting next week, will bring it back to my town with her, I'll pick it up from her. Probably on the 17th. And thanks for the anniversary wishes. How did you know I want a chicken on my other ankle?
