Sc, I came across the article and thought of you. The guys numbers for temp & humidity are...umm..interesting. But he swears by them for marans eggs.

My humidity was at 55% and temp was 99.6 which I thought was by "The Book" and what I always did. But that was over 3 years and general consensus now thinks that is too high. I had sucessful Marans (85%+) hatches, but they weren't shipped eggs. I drove a 2+ hour round trip to Westchester to pick them up. His Marans are beautiful show birds, too pricey for me $75 per straight run chick.

36 + 1 small one (which I dont think I should use). Most are clean, but a few are dirty. Should I wipe the dirty ones, leave them be or dont use? There is one XXL one in the upper right corner.

They look clean enough for the purpose. Leave out the little one, and maybe the one that looks like a golf ball unless you will be incubating on their sides. If there is loose debris, just brush it off with a dry paper towel.
